About Mastercraft
Henry Fenster began his foray into Ladies handbag and leather accessories in the mid-late 1950s in Montreal, QC Canada. He Co-founded Mastercraft Leather Goods with his brother. The company made Leather and simulated leather accessories for Women and men.
Mr. Henry designed an unusual handbag, inspired by the Apollo Command and Service Modules in silver. Inspired by the space race and the MOD clothing movement of the time. I have a few handbag’s made of the same material in my collection. The company went defunct in 1986. Then Canadian Tire took over the Mastercraft name in 2000.
